Dr. Myeongsu [should be pronounced m-Young Sue] Seong [should be pronounced as ‘Sung’ (the past participle form of English verb ‘Sing’)] is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mechatronics and Robotics, School of Advanced Technology, Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU) from August 2023. In 2018, Dr. Seong received his Ph.D. from the Department of Biomedical Science and Engineering, Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology, Gwangju, Republic of Korea. Before joining XJTLU, Dr. Seong worked as an Associate Professor at the Research Center for Intelligent Information Technology, Nantong University, Nantong, Jiangsu, China from December 2020 to June 2023. Dr. Seong’s research interest includes the development of new opto-mechatronic imaging/spectroscopic and therapeutic systems which can be used in both preclinical and clinical studies, relevant signal/image processing methods, and applications of the developed systems in neurology or oncology studies for the translation of the systems to the clinics.
